Chery's latest electric car has received a positive response from consumers, generating 558 bookings out of 1,490 units.
KatadataOTO – The IIMS 2025 exhibition became the venue for Chery to present its flagship lineup, including the new Tiggo Cross model. Targeting entry-level consumers, the car made the largest contribution to Chery's SPK (Vehicle Order Letter) acquisition.
Based on information received by KatadataOTO, the total SPK obtained by Chery at IIMS 2025 was 1,490. A total of 508 of these were contributed by the Tiggo Cross.
This figure managed to exceed their sales target for the newest model. It was previously reported that Chery plans to sell around 500 units of the Tiggo Cross per month.
Then, for the first 1,000 buyers, the exhibition price applies, which is Rp 239.5 million for the Comfort type or the Premium variant at Rp 269.5 million. That figure still has the potential to increase in the future.
So, the 508 consumers who placed orders at the event can pay according to the temporary price.
“We greatly appreciate the enthusiasm of the IIMS 2025 visitors who have chosen Chery as their vehicle of choice,” said Rifkie Setiawan, Head of Brand Department at PT CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) in his official statement quoted on Friday (28/2).
He emphasized that this SPK achievement serves as a motivation for Chery to continue presenting innovation and a range of quality products that meet the needs of the Indonesian people.
“We are also continuously committed to improving our after-sales services to reach more consumers throughout the country,” he affirmed.
Above the Tiggo Cross, the electric-powered SUV J6 also received a positive response, collecting 558 orders.
For comparison, at IIMS 2024, Chery's acquisition was 864 SPK, supported by the electric car Omoda E5 with around 648 units, or 75 percent of the total orders.
Just like this year, Chery's electric car became the backbone of sales and was the most ordered by consumers.
Besides a competitive price tag, the manufacturer from China offers various advantages to attract customer interest. For example, an engine warranty of up to 10 years or the equivalent of one million kilometers.
Then there is a 70 percent buy-back guarantee, a six-year vehicle warranty, free maintenance service costs for four years or 60 thousand kilometers, and a Rp 4 million package for purchasing spare parts for three years.
