Chery Tiggo 8 CSH: Mainstay for Boosting Sales

KatadataOTO – PT CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) has a fairly high target this year. By May 2025, they want to sell 2,000 units per month at retail (from dealer to consumer).

Looking back one month, in April 2025 Chery recorded retail sales of 1,549 units. 

This is the highest figure Chery has achieved throughout 2025. Sequentially, PT CSI's retail sales achievements from January to March 2025 were 1,198 units, 1,327 units, and 1,521 units.

The presence of new models is believed to be one of the strategies to help Chery achieve this target.

After the J6 electric car, PT CSI will soon officially announce the price of the Tiggo 8 CSH today. This model is believed to be the backbone of their sales in the country.

“We have a challenging target to reach 2,000 retail units in May. We are confident that Chery's growth this year is still positive,” said Budi Darmawan, Sales Director of PT CSI in Bekasi some time ago.

This high target also needs to be supported by capable production capacity. Considering that some of Chery's popular lines are now on backorder because stock is not yet available.

Budi confirmed that the arrival of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH has been discussed with the factory, namely PT HIM (Handal Indonesia Motor).
