Chery Tiggo 8 CSH Will Be Registered for Incentives

KatadataOTO – CSI (Chery Sales Indonesia) has finally officially launched their new product, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH, for domestic consumers.

This PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) is even set to be registered for the government's incentive program.

“Of course, we will register it for the incentive program,” said Budi Darmawan, Sales Director of CSI in Jakarta some time ago.

Budi further explained that they are still calculating the TKDN (Local Component Level) of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH.

According to him, the new car should have the same TKDN as the regular Chery Tiggo 8 or the one with a conventional engine, which is around 30 to 40 percent.

“However, we haven't received a definite figure yet. Our target is around 40 percent (for the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH's TKDN),” Budi continued.

Then, once the TKDN calculation process is complete, Chery will immediately submit its product to the hybrid car incentive program from President Prabowo Subianto.

“Because we have to submit it first. Then the government will calculate it and there is a commitment to be able to get the hybrid incentive,” Budi affirmed.

For your information, the government has disbursed hybrid car incentives. This assistance applies to all environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicles.

Starting from full hybrids, mild hybrids, to plug-in hybrids. Therefore, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH can participate in the program.

However, there is a condition that must be met first, which is having a minimum TKDN of 40 percent.

If the above condition is met, the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH will be entitled to an incentive in the form of a three percent discount on PPnBM DTP (Government-Borne Luxury Goods Sales Tax).

On the other hand, if the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH is included in this assistance program, the product's price will become even more affordable.

Considering, the price of the Chery Tiggo 8 CSH is Rp 499 million for the first 1,000 customers. It will then increase to Rp 519 million.

With the hybrid car incentive from the government, the price of Chery's PHEV could potentially be lower than the initial offering price.
