Chery to Export 1 Million Vehicles in 2025

KatadataOTO – Throughout 2025, Chery became the leader in four-wheeled vehicle exports in China, recording 1,344,020 units shipped in the January-December period.

Meanwhile, Chery's total sales in its home country were 2,806,393 units, an increase of 17.4 percent from the same period the previous year. In December alone, they recorded sales of 244,928 units.

This achievement maintains Chery's position as the brand with the highest total car exports for 23 consecutive years.

In detail, Chery Group's sales were supported by a number of models from different sub-brands. The Tiggo 8 has remained the best-selling gasoline car in China for the past nine years.

Then, the Chery Arrizo 8 sedan also contributed to sales. Since its launch, the model has successfully sold 450,000 units.

Chery's premium sub-brand that will soon enter Indonesia, Exeed, contributed 120,369 units. The Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Yaoguang C-DM Series became the backbone, having been launched in more than 19 countries outside of China.

Jetour presents a boxy-style SUV with gasoline and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) engine options.

Not to be left out is iCar, a new model scheduled to launch in the country starting this year. The iCar vehicle line in several countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Russia is sold under the Jaecoo brand.

Lastly is Luxeed. The brand is a result of a collaboration with Huawei, offering luxury sedans like the R7 and S7.

Records Satisfactory Results in Indonesia

Southeast Asia is one of Chery's sales focuses in the global market, including Indonesia. Preliminary Gaikindo data shows that in the January-November 2025 period, Chery's retail sales were 18,071 units.

This figure successfully surpassed several other Chinese manufacturers such as Aion (5,439 units) and Geely (2,036 units).

The stable sales record of around 1,000 units per month was achieved thanks to the presence of several new products, including in the electrification line.

In 2025, Chery not only introduced the PHEV Tiggo 8 CSH and Tiggo 9 CSH but also launched a hybrid car that fills the class below the Tiggo 8, namely the Tiggo Cross CSH.

Then, the Omoda series received a refresh and a new name, becoming the Chery C5 and Chery E5 EV. The price was lowered with slight changes to the technical specifications.
