Chery's Newest Sub-brand Makes Global Debut at GIIAS 2025

KatadataOTO – PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) intends to bring several sub-brands to Indonesia to attract more consumers. One of them is the Lepas brand.

The new brand made its global debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 with three models: L4, L6, and L8.

Targeting young consumers, the Lepas booth carries the concept of Colorful Life, Masterful Drive, which was colorfully displayed at GIIAS 2025.

“We want consumers to have a true travel companion that understands, reflects, and supports their daily activities,” said Zhong Wei, Deputy CEO of Lepas Global in Tangerang recently.

Of the three models exhibited, one of them, the Lepas L8, will be presented first for its premiere.

The Lepas L8 is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) with hybrid technology, targeting families with urban mobility needs.

However, Lepas ensures that the vehicle models presented to domestic consumers will be increasingly varied.

“There will be many new models, both hybrid and electric, that we have prepared,” affirmed Zhong Wei.

If consumers are interested, the Lepas L8 is already available for pre-order at the GIIAS 2025 event. Prospective customers only need to prepare a fund of around Rp 10 million.

There are various benefits that prospective customers can enjoy, such as a gift package from Lepas, a special edition emblem, namely the Founder Edition with unique numbers from 001 to 100, as well as priority unit delivery.

Details regarding the Mystery Delivery Gift Package will be revealed during the model's domestic launch ceremony.

Then there is after-sales protection and offers, including warranty and service guarantees for buyers of the Lepas L8 SUV.

The Lepas L8 is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025. Deliveries will begin in December 2025. Unfortunately, there is no complete information regarding the price of the model yet.

Prospective Lepas customers can place an order by visiting the Lepas booth in Hall 2G ICE BSD, Tangerang, during the GIIAS 2025 event.

GIIAS 2025 tickets can be purchased online or directly at the exhibition venue at different prices.
