KatadataOTO – Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2025 officially concluded on January 26, 2025. The annual event is a badminton tournament that brings together a number of world-class athletes.

The Japanese manufacturer also enlivened the event by opening a booth to introduce their lineup to badminton lovers. Inside, there were two of their flagship vehicles in the country.

One of them was the Daihatsu Sigra, which was the backbone of the company's sales throughout 2024. Besides having an affordable price, the model is also known to be suitable for daily use.

In addition, they also displayed the Ayla, which is quite popular among the younger generation. Its presence was expected to capture the attention of the young generation who came to watch the matches.

Daihatsu's presence also received special appreciation from the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI). This is because the company has been the main sponsor for eight consecutive years. This is seen as a unique contribution to the world of sports.

This appreciation was well-received as Daihatsu has indeed made badminton a sport for them to develop in the future. The company has even provided support to the world of badminton in three countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan, successfully producing young athletes.

“We would like to thank PBSI for entrusting Daihatsu as the main partner in organizing the Indonesia Masters. Hopefully, this support can contribute to improving the quality of badminton in Indonesia and can produce new, young, and talented badminton players,” said Sri Agung Handayani, Marketing Director and Corporate Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor.

Since it was first held in 2018, the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters has successfully become an arena for athletes to test their skills. In addition, Indonesian badminton players have contributed a total of 10 titles to this tournament.
