Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid Will Be Sold for Around Rp 300 Million at GIIAS 2025

KatadataOTO – Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) finally intends to sell the Rocky Hybrid to consumers in Indonesia.

The environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicle will be officially marketed at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIIAS) 2025.

"It will indeed be sold at GIIAS 2025, and if you want to order now, you can," said a Daihatsu salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO on Friday (18/07).

If automotive enthusiasts intend to own the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid, they just need to submit a booking fee of IDR 2.5 million.

He further stated that the price of the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid will be more expensive than the previous model.

"According to leaks, the estimated price is around IDR 300 million," he continued.

For your information, the cheapest variant of the old Daihatsu Rocky is priced at around IDR 212 million. Meanwhile, the most expensive type is sold for around IDR 289 million.

For comparison, the conventional Toyota Yaris Cross with TSS is sold for IDR 428.8 million. Then, the same model with a hybrid engine is IDR 448.2 million.

Based on this, it is possible that the same price difference will be applied to the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid, reaching around IDR 20 million between the conventional and hybrid models.

For your information, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid was previously exhibited at the GIIAS 2024 event.

The Daihatsu hybrid car has also been marketed to consumers in Japan.

In the Land of the Rising Sun, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is available in two variants, namely X HEV and Premium G HEV.

According to reports, the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid will rely on a 1,200 cc three-cylinder WA-VEX type engine. 

The engine is claimed to be able to produce up to 80 hp at 5,600 rpm and 105 Nm of torque at 3,200-5,200 rpm.

Daihatsu claims that the Rocky Hybrid has quite efficient fuel consumption. One liter of gasoline can cover a distance of up to 28 kilometers.

The Daihatsu hybrid car is also equipped with various of the latest safety features, starting with Smart Assist which has 19 different functions.

These include collision potential warning and braking that supports night mode, pedestrian detection, and traffic sign recognition to provide ‘Maximum Speed’ and ‘Stop’ warnings.

It is also equipped with an electric parking brake, accompanied by ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) which can make long-distance driving more comfortable.
