KatadataOTO – The Indonesian Automotive Journalists Forum (FORWOT) is once again holding the Car of The Year 2025 event. This event will involve more than 50 vehicles from various segments that have been officially marketed in the country.

This year, FCY 2025 is set to feature five categories to be won by the best cars.  Starting from The Best of Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), The Best of Hybrid, The Best of Plug-in Hybrid EV, The Best of EV, and then from all these nominations, the Best of The Best will be chosen.

“FCY is an annual flagship event to find the best car for each one-year period according to the regulations. The judging is conducted independently by dozens of judges who are experienced automotive journalists,” said Arie Prasetya, Chairman of Forwot.

The judging process has been carried out by collecting data on the newest vehicles released from July 2024 to July 2025. There are fifty new models from dozens of automotive manufacturers in Indonesia.

All these vehicles have also been officially marketed with official prices and delivered to consumers.

“We begin the judging process by classifying units based on their powertrain segment or engine technology. This is based on the growing trend of increasingly diverse vehicles in the market today,” explained Audi Surya, Project Leader of FCY 2025.
