Geely Livan Smurf Introduced, Compact EV Around Rp 80 Million

KatadataOTO – The popularity of compact-sized electric cars continues to show a positive trend. The Chinese brand Geely, through Livan Auto, has introduced the Livan Smurf in response.

It should be noted that the Livan Smurf was previously introduced as the Geely Panda Mini EV. However, this time, a different touch has been given to the exterior.

The Geely Panda Mini EV itself has received a positive response from Chinese consumers. Its sales figures from January to July 2025 reached 101,514 units.

The overall design remains the same. However, the front appearance of the Geely Livan Smurf is designed to be simpler and sportier.

The dimensions of the Geely Livan Smurf are quite compact. It has a length of 3,100 mm, a width of 1,558 mm, a height of 1,610 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,015 mm.

For comparison, its size is slightly larger than the Wuling Air ev, which has dimensions of L x W x H at 2,974 mm x 1,505 mm x 1,631 mm. However, it is still smaller than the Jetour X20e (3,720 mm x 1,700 mm x 1,608 mm).

The grille uses a Forest Spirit Eye concept, featuring round-shaped LEDs that give it a retro feel.

The wheel design is also different, named Vibrant Pinwheel, and is 14 inches in size. Additionally, new color choices are offered with a two-tone option.

Inside the cabin, the Geely Livan Smurf is available in three interior color options: Sakura Pink, Castle Grey, and Forest Green.

It uses a minimalist two-spoke steering wheel, and the transmission is a knob-style Rotary Gear Selector.

Although it is a rebadged version of the Geely Panda Mini EV, its powertrain is said to be slightly different, using a 17 kWh capacity battery.

On a single charge, each variant can travel a distance of 200 to 300 kilometers.

There is no complete information yet regarding technical specifications or pricing. Local Chinese media estimate the price to be under 36,000 yuan or around IDR 81.4 million when converted.

In Indonesia, it seems Geely is more interested in bringing in models from the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment.

Seeing the increasingly crowded compact electric car market with the presence of the BYD Atto 1 and Jetour X20e, it is not impossible that the Geely Livan Smurf will be considered to reach a wider range of consumers.
