GWM Ora 03 Set to Launch, Price Expected Below Rp 400 Million

KatadataOTO – Many electric cars will be marketed in the country, including products from GWM Indonesia.

The manufacturer from China is reportedly going to sell the GWM Ora 03 to domestic consumers soon.

"Soon (the launch time of the GWM Ora 03), preparations have been made," said Martina Danuningrat, Strategy & Marketing Director of GWM Indonesia in Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java on Monday (02/06).

Unfortunately, Martina was not yet willing to reveal the exact launch time of their electric vehicle (EV) in the country.

However, it is highly likely that the GWM Ora 03 electric car will be marketed at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025.

"In the second quarter, which has already started. So just wait for it (the launch of the GWM Ora 03)," she continued.

On the other hand, Martina confirmed that her product will be marketed with a competitive price tag. So it can tempt consumers in Indonesia.

"Under IDR 400 million (the price of the GWM Ora 03)," Martina affirmed.

It should be noted that the GWM Ora 03 has indeed been confirmed to launch this year. Thus, it can add to the options for environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia.

"GWM Indonesia is on track for the launch of the Ora line this year," said Martina some time ago.

For your information, the GWM Ora 03 was previously exhibited at the GIIAS 2023 event, but it was not officially launched at that time.

The GWM Ora 03 itself is a pure electric car or battery electric vehicle (BEV) with a classic design.

It then combines a modern feel. This can be seen from the rounded shape of the headlights which already use LED technology.

In terms of dimensions, the four-wheeled electric vehicle has a length of 4,235 mm, a width of 1,825 mm, a height of 1,596 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm.

As for the powertrain, the GWM Ora 03 is equipped with a 143 hp electric motor with a peak torque of 219 Nm.

It is then paired with a 63 kWh capacity battery, claimed to be able to travel up to 400 kilometers on a single charge.

The performance offered is also quite capable, able to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds.

So, it remains to be seen how the presence of the GWM Ora 03 electric car will be received by the automotive market in the country in the near future.
