GWM Indonesia states it is registering the Haval Jolion Ultra to receive hybrid car incentives.

KatadataOTO – GWM Indonesia has brought several products to the country. For example, the Haval Jolion Ultra HEV.
In fact, the hybrid car is already locally assembled. More precisely, at the Wanaherang factory in Bogor, West Java.
This Chinese manufacturer intends to register the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra HEV to participate in the government's hybrid car incentive program.
For the first stage, they claim to be calculating the local component level (TKDN) of their product first.
“The TKDN is still being calculated, we don't know the percentage yet,” said Martina Danuningrat, Strategy & Marketing Director of GWM Indonesia, some time ago.
Martina stated that until now, the brand from the Land of the Bamboo Curtain continues to calculate the TKDN of the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra HEV.
This way, it can become one of the four-wheeled vehicles eligible for the hybrid car incentive.
“But it's already quite high (the TKDN level), if I'm not mistaken, from the tires and battery,” she continued.
She further explained that they have submitted the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra to the government.
However, GWM is still waiting for the decision-makers to determine whether it will receive the hybrid car incentive or not.
“We have submitted it, but the parts and other components are still being calculated, so it takes time,” Martina stated.
Even so, Martina did not promise that the price of the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra would decrease after receiving the hybrid car incentive.
“Regarding a price drop, it's currently IDR 405 million. With its premium quality and the most complete ADAS in its class, I think that's appropriate,” she said.
For your information, the assembly process for the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra HEV in Wanaherang has been underway since November 2024.
It is claimed that more than 300 units have been successfully sent to the stock storage area in Purwakarta, West Java.
The Chinese manufacturer claims to be committed to continuously increasing the TKDN of the GWM Haval Jolion Ultra.
As a reminder, President Prabowo Subianto's aides have officially granted hybrid car incentives for 2025.
This assistance is part of the government-borne Luxury Goods Sales Tax (PPnBM DTP) incentive policy.
The incentive provided is three percent for four-wheeled vehicles with a hybrid powertrain. However, there are requirements that must be met.
For example, full hybrid, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid cars must have a TKDN of 40 percent.
