KatadataOTO – At the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, a number of manufacturers have confirmed they will bring new units. One of them is Honda, which has confirmed it will launch an electrified vehicle.

Although not specified in detail, it is believed that the model will enter the hybrid car segment. This is because they are well-known for being active in developing this technology.

“Honda will launch one new electrified product as a continuation of our journey in Indonesia,” said Yessy Anastasia, Public Relation and Event Dept Head of PT Honda Prospect Motor (05/02).

The presence of this new model is believed to have a positive impact on the sales of electrified vehicles in the country.

Not only that, she also revealed that Honda will launch a special edition product. It is hoped that this will make IIMS 2025 visitors more interested in coming to the booth.

“We will also launch a special edition product that is only available at this event,” Yessy added.

Honda also confirmed it will provide a number of entertainment facilities for visitors to enjoy during the event. Starting from the Honda Racing Simulator Games, KidCorner, to a test drive program.

This way, potential customers can experience the performance of the vehicle they intend to buy. It is hoped that they can be more confident in purchasing a unit.

Boosting Vehicle Sales

Honda also emphasized that it will use IIMS 2025 as an event to increase sales figures. They will achieve this by providing ease of vehicle purchase through various credit packages.

They are also optimistic that SUVs will have a special place as they are considered suitable for use during the Lebaran homecoming season at the end of March.

“SUVs are in demand by consumers because of advantages such as large capacity and a spacious cabin, making them comfortable for long-distance travel. In addition, vehicles in that segment also have the ability to handle various road conditions, including sub-urban areas,” said Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor to KatadataOTO (03/01).
