KatadataOTO – PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) has once again held the Turtles for Indonesia program as a form of its commitment to preserving the environment.

This turtle conservation facility also serves as an educational place for the general public and visitors.

The program is part of their four Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) pillars: Smart with Daihatsu, Healthy with Daihatsu, Green with Daihatsu, and Prosperous with Daihatsu.

The realization of the program was announced at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week or GJAW 2025, attended by representatives of the Kurma Asih Turtle Conservation from Perancak Beach, Jembrana, Bali.

“We want to make this activity an inspiration to share happiness and encourage real action for environmental preservation with the community and Daihatsu-fostered Conservations,” said Ferry Nugroho, Executive Coordinator of the General Affairs Division of PT ADM, in Tangerang, Friday (28/11).

He continued that Daihatsu has been routinely releasing hatchlings or baby turtles. In the period from January to October 2025, 43,731 hatchlings were released on various beaches in Indonesia.

The hope is that the conservation can also become an educational center for schools, researchers, university students, as well as domestic and foreign tourists who want to learn.

It was further explained that Kurma Asih Conservation is one of seven Daihatsu-fostered turtle conservations spread across many regions.

Kurma Asih Conservation was established in 1997 with the main vision and mission to actively participate in activities to save the turtle population from extinction.

“Daihatsu remains committed and proud to be part of ensuring sustainability through the Turtles for Indonesia program,” Ferry affirmed.

In an effort to protect the environment and reduce carbon emissions, Daihatsu also presented their electrified product, the Rocky Hybrid. This model is priced at around IDR 299 million on the road in Jakarta.

The Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is expected to reach more domestic consumers who want to use environmentally friendly vehicles.

The compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) can be seen at the Daihatsu booth during the GJAW 2025 event, which runs until the upcoming November 30 at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
