KatadataOTO – Various brands are preparing strategies to maintain consumer purchasing power after the implementation of the 12 percent VAT, for example, through vehicle purchase programs.

Dealer Hyundai Gowa has also prepared a number of attractive offers to make it easier for consumers to make transactions, especially on credit.

“The price (after the 12 percent VAT) has just been decided and not all of it has been released yet. But at the beginning of the year, we usually prepare low DP promos, so a special package is prepared for that,” said Ferry, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Gowa in Cikarang, Friday (17/1).

He explained that the promos vary depending on the model. However, the low DP mentioned is usually under 20 percent of the car's price.

He emphasized that this series of programs is one of Hyundai Gowa's strategies to anticipate the increase in OTR car prices due to the VAT increase from 11 percent to 12 percent.

“It follows the local OTR (On The Road) price. Because it's different in each region, we will calculate the simulation directly,” Ferry explained.

For your information, throughout January 2025, Hyundai Gowa has provided several promos that consumers can enjoy.

First is a program offering low interest rates starting from zero percent. Then, specifically for the purchase of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 electric cars, there is zero percent interest for three years and a down payment starting from 20 percent.

For the MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle) Stargazer types Active, Trend, Essential, and the Stargazer X, the interest rate is zero percent for one year.

Meanwhile, for the Stargazer Prime type and the Creta along with the Santa Fe, an installment option with zero percent interest over a two-year period is available. Interested consumers can directly visit the nearest Hyundai Gowa dealer to make a purchase.

To support the electrification ecosystem for its consumers, Hyundai Gowa dealers have also been equipped with charging stations specifically for Hyundai electric car users.
