Despite already receiving electric car incentives, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 discount at IIMS 2025 reaches Rp 100 million.
KatadataOTO – Hyundai has several electric car models for domestic consumers, with a price range starting from IDR 400 millions to IDR 1 billion. One of them is the Ioniq 5, which is already locally assembled.
Hyundai's flagship electric car was also brought to the IIMS 2025 (Indonesia International Motor Show) automotive exhibition.
A number of attractive programs are offered to consumers. In fact, during the exhibition, a salesperson revealed there is a price cut of IDR 100 million for the 2024 Ioniq 5.
“The discount is IDR 100 million. The incentive or subsidy is separate,” said a Hyundai salesperson when met at the IIMS 2025 exhibition area recently.
It should be noted that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a recipient of the government's electric car incentive in the form of a 10 percent VAT (Value Added Tax) discount.
Therefore, its price has indeed been reduced from the start. However, at IIMS 2025, this discount is applied specifically for 2024 units for interested consumers.
Based on KatadataOTO's research, without the incentive, the price of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 could be IDR 60 million higher. Here is the price list for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 as of February 2025, not including the discount but with the incentive already deducted.
For your information, IIMS 2025 entered its final day on Sunday (23/2). Tickets can still be purchased through the official platform dyandratiket.com or the PLN Mobile application.
There are still several other programs implemented by Hyundai at this event. For example, a trade-in program where a consumer's Hyundai vehicle, when traded for a new model, gets a trade-in value that is IDR 5 million higher.
Buyers of the Stargazer, Stargazer X, and Creta who transact through Hyundai Finance can get zero percent interest for three years, a low down payment starting from 10 percent, and light installments starting from IDR 1 million per month for three years.
Meanwhile, the purchase of a Hyundai electric car at IIMS 2025 includes the benefit of a 50 kWh electricity quota per month for two years.
