KatadataOTO – Hyundai Motors Indonesia has officially launched the Palisade Hybrid but has discontinued sales of the diesel version in the country. This decision was made because their latest technology is considered to have met the needs of customers in the country.
Thus, it is hoped that people can still enjoy the comfort of driving using the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid.
“People look for diesel engines for two reasons: power and efficiency. From there, we tried to compare it with the hybrid and it turned out that these needs were successfully met,” said Wahyu Kusuma Danny, Head of Product at Hyundai Motors Indonesia (13/06)
He revealed that the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid has even better performance. This is because it has a 2,497 cc Smartstream Turbo Hybrid engine with 329 hp and 460 Nm of torque.
That power is greater than the R. 2.2 L CRDI inline 4-cylinder diesel with e-VGT engine used in the previous model. The recorded powertrain only produces 197 hp and 440 Nm of torque.
Although it is no longer sold, people can still get a diesel-engine Hyundai Palisade in the used car market. The price is also considered affordable even though the vehicle is not too old.
Based on our monitoring, some dealers are selling it for only Rp 798 million to Rp 920 million. This price tag will certainly make it easier for customers to get a unit that suits their needs.
