Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Reportedly in High Demand, Popular with Officials

KatadataOTO – The Hyundai Palisade Hybrid has hit the roads in Indonesia. The car is claimed to have received a positive response.

At least, that's what Hyundai Gowa has experienced. They stated that the environmentally friendly four-wheeled vehicle is in high demand.

“As of today, we have received 40 Vehicle Order Letters (SPK),” said Chitra Ortho Prayundityo, Operation General Manager of Hyundai Gowa in Sentul, Bogor, West Java on Tuesday (24/06).

The man, often called Nandit, did not expect their consumers to be so interested in owning the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid.

Considering the vehicle's price is not cheap. So he is happy with this achievement.

“Can you imagine, with a price of around Rp 1 billion (it's in high demand). And what's more, I have two consumers who have been on the waiting list since 2024,” he continued.

Nandit further explained that the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid has its own consumer segment despite its rather high price tag.

Therefore, they were able to get quite a lot of orders for Hyundai's new hybrid car in the country.

“So it's extraordinary, it really has its own segment. Besides that, the enthusiasm is incredible,” Nandit emphasized.

On the other hand, a similar sentiment was also expressed by Peta Rachmat Zulkarnain, Sales & Marketing General Manager of Hyundai Gowa.

He stated that many consumers want to own the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid in the Calligraphy type.

“Right now, there are the Signature, Calligraphy, and Calligraphy AWD. The best-selling one is the middle variant, so consumers are drawn to that,” said Peta.

Peta stated that demand for the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy reached 70 percent of the total orders they received.

Then, the Signature variant contributed up to 15 percent. And the Calligraphy AWD type was about five percent.

“For the AWD variant, many of the orders so far are from officials,” Peta concluded.

For your information, the Hyundai Palisade Hybrid is equipped with a 2,497 cc Smartstream Turbo Hybrid mechanical heart.

It is claimed to be able to produce up to 329 hp and 460 Nm of torque. This power is channeled to the wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
