KatadataOTO – Hyundai is bringing the Inster to the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025. This was seen in the presentation shown by the company at the pre-IIMS media gathering this afternoon (04/02).
Although not explicitly stated, they revealed they will launch one new electric car.
“We will launch at least one new car and display the entire vehicle lineup, including Hyundai N,” said Uria Panyalombo Nalambok Simanjuntak, Head Of Public Relations PT. Hyundai Motors Indonesia.
Meanwhile, on a separate occasion, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia, revealed that they are adding more vehicle options for customers in the country.
The issue of launching the Hyundai Inster itself was actually widely discussed in the middle of last year. This is because the model is touted to be launched in Indonesia.
This car has actually been introduced in South Korea and is an affordable electric vehicle from Hyundai.
The Hyundai Inster comes in two types: Standard and Long Range. The top variant is equipped with a 49 kWh capacity battery paired with an electric motor producing 154 hp and 147 Nm of torque.
Hyundai claims that the range of the Inster Long Range reaches 355 km on a full battery. The long distance it can travel is believed to be a major attraction as it addresses the owner's range anxiety.
A number of features have also been embedded by Hyundai to support the driver in controlling the car. Including the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which includes Surround View Monitor (SVM), Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist Rear (PCA-R), Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
