KatadataOTO – The Aion factory that recently began operations in Purwakarta is confirmed to not only produce electric vehicles. This is because the facility has been prepared to be able to build various cars with different technologies.

Therefore, it is not impossible that in the future, Aion will produce vehicles other than electric cars in the country.

“They have quite a lot of products and they are looking at what is suitable for Indonesia. So in the future, the factory will not only focus on the production of electric vehicles," said Andrew Nasuri, Director of the Indomobil Group some time ago.

One of the models touted to be brought to Indonesia is the E9. The model was already displayed at the inauguration of the Aion factory.

This car comes with various advantages as it targets the premium segment. Therefore, its development cannot be done carelessly.

The manufacturer has installed a 2,000 cc capacity engine to produce 188 hp and 330 Nm of torque. This powertrain is then paired with an electric motor generating 180 hp and 300 Nm of torque.

Thus, the total power that can be produced is 367 hp and 630 Nm of torque.

The GAC E9 PHEV uses a 25.67 kWh Magazine Battery 2.0. Thanks to this, the car can travel in EV mode for 106 km.

Meanwhile, the car's total range reaches 1,032 km with a fuel consumption of 16.5 km per liter.

As a car targeting the premium segment, it has been designed with large dimensions to make the cabin more spacious. The E9 is recorded to have a length of 5,212 mm, a width of 1,893 mm, a height of 1,823 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,070 mm.

The large size of the vehicle makes it easy for the company to design the cabin space to feel spacious. The second-row seats are equipped with a small screen to adjust the seats for maximum comfort.

Various features have been embedded, including massage seats in the second row. Thanks to this, it is hoped that customers can rest during the journey.

To enhance the comfortable driving experience, the E9 PHEV is equipped with Electromagnetic Damping Suspension (EDS). With this, it is expected that vibrations during the journey can be suppressed.
