Jaecoo Expedites J5 EV Deliveries to Indonesian Consumers, 6,000 Units Ordered

KatadataOTO – Aion Indonesia seems to be launching a new model soon. This is evident from its official website, which already shows the silhouette of the newest vehicle.
Although there is no official information, the photo displayed is enough to depict the vehicle's form. It is likely that the model is the Aion UT.
This is reinforced by the fog lamp shown on the vehicle's bumper. Its shape is exactly the same as the Aion UT.
Unfortunately, as of this writing, Aion has not yet confirmed the arrival of this car.
Its presence is certainly quite interesting because the Aion UT will enter the highly competitive hatchback segment.
In general, the BYD Aion UT comes with a quite attractive design. Its appearance is quite sharp and is enhanced by DRL and LED lights on the bumper, making it even more appealing.
In terms of dimensions, the Aion UT has a length of 4,250 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, and a height of 1,575 mm.
The Aion UT is equipped with a 44 kWh capacity battery and is paired with an electric motor capable of producing 134 hp. With this, the car can travel a distance of 420 km on a full charge.
Interestingly, in China, the Aion UT is sold at a very competitive price, starting from 89,800 yuan to 109,800 yuan, or around IDR 198.3 million to IDR 242.4 million.
If it does enter Indonesia, it is not impossible that the model will be produced directly in the country. This is because the Aion factory in Purwakarta has a fairly large capacity of 20,000 units per year and can be increased to 50,000 units per year.
The production facility is also said to not only focus on producing electric vehicles but also other technologies. The car's quality is also claimed to receive special attention from the principal, ensuring its quality is maintained.
By being produced locally, the Aion UT has the opportunity to have a more competitive price. This is because they can increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and take advantage of significant government incentives.
This will certainly benefit the public as it will be easier for them to get an EV at an affordable price.
