KatadataOTO – Jaecoo reveals that in 2026 they will expand their network in Indonesia. The Chinese manufacturer hopes to have at least 80 dealers in the country.

This is expected to make it easier for the public to get the products they need.

“Our challenge right now is the limited network, and that must be addressed immediately. So in 2026, Jaecoo will be very focused on opening new dealers, especially in the regions, so that people can get units more easily,” said Mohamad Ilham Pratama, Head of Marketing of Jaecoo Indonesia to KatadataOTO (10/01).

He revealed that currently, interest in Jaecoo outside of the Greater Jakarta area is quite high. Therefore, development will be more evenly distributed to various regions.

In addition, they will also launch several New Energy Vehicle (NEV) products, which have recently been in increasing demand. Thus, it is not impossible that sales will see an increase.

“We see that the development of NEVs in Indonesia is quite high, so the plan is to have several new models. Perhaps more towards PHEVs because the demand is indeed large,” he then added.

According to him, PHEVs can be a solution for people who want an environmentally friendly vehicle but are hesitant about EV technology. Thus, PHEVs can be an option for them.

“Jaecoo customers are mostly not first-time buyers, but are buying a second or replacement vehicle. They usually want to experience the sensation of driving an electric car but are still hesitant about the infrastructure,” added Ilham.

Moreover, the choice of models available is currently not extensive. Jaecoo Indonesia currently has the J5 EV, J7 SHS-P, J8 SHS-P Ardis, and J8 Ardis.

It should be noted that Jaecoo started selling its vehicles to the public in August 2025. Although it has only been a few months, they have successfully delivered 2,500 units to customers.

December was their biggest period, with 1,122 units distributed to customers. Thanks to this, they now hold 0.3 percent of the national market and are ranked as the 17th best-selling car manufacturer in Indonesia.
