KatadataOTO – Welcoming the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week 2025, Jaecoo Indonesia will introduce a new product in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the Chinese manufacturer did not specify which segment the car they will bring will enter.

The model is claimed to be just an introduction, but it does not rule out the possibility that pre-orders will be opened immediately.

“It should be available for order, but we'll see. As for the segment, I can't say yet, but it will definitely fall into the New Energy Vehicle category because that is our focus,” he then added.

The car is also planned to be assembled directly in Indonesia, utilizing the production facilities of Handal Indonesia Motor. Thus, it is hoped that the price can be more competitive for customers.

The presence of this product means they will showcase four models at once, including the models currently on sale, namely the J8, J7, and J5.

It should be noted that Jaecoo is currently quite aggressive in developing the market in the country. They have launched several products to meet the driving needs of the public.

One of the newest is the Jaecoo J5 EV, which is the latest electric SUV. This car comes with various attractions, including its appearance, as it still looks bold despite using a closed grille.

The Chinese manufacturer has equipped it with headlamps with DRLs, making it look more modern. To give it a luxurious feel, the vehicle is equipped with a fairly large panoramic roof.

Interestingly, the Jaecoo J5 EV uses a 60.9 kWh capacity battery. Thanks to this, the Chinese manufacturer boldly claims that the car can travel as far as 470 km on a single charge.

This power is then used to operate an electric motor that can release 155 kW of power, or the equivalent of 207 hp, with a peak torque of 288 Nm. The performance is capable of making the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in just 7.3 seconds.

There are various features in the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) embedded along with six airbags. Thanks to this, it is hoped that drivers can more easily maintain driving safety.
