KatadataOTO – The Jaecoo J5 EV has received an immediate positive response. Many people are flocking to buy the electric car.
This could potentially create long queues for purchasing the Electric Vehicle (EV). Automatically, the pre-order process will be longer.
Jaecoo has spoken out about this phenomenon. The Chinese brand claims it is trying to shorten the pre-order time.
“We are preparing stock, because everything is assembled in Indonesia. Not Completely Built Up (CBU),” said Zheng Shuo, President Director of Chery Group Indonesia in Jakarta some time ago.
For your information, the Jaecoo J5 EV is already being locally assembled at the production facility owned by Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java.
Therefore, according to Zheng Shuo, his party needs a little more time to produce their cars.
“It's not as easy as direct shipment like a CBU. But we will adjust quickly,” he continued.
The Chery Group Indonesia executive hopes that people will not have to wait long to get the Jaecoo J5 EV.
That way, their new electric car can be relied upon for various activities by consumers.
“If we see demand from the market, we will definitely try to give consumers the car as quickly as possible. We also don't want consumers to have a long pre-order wait,” Zheng Shuo affirmed.
He also apologized in advance if the pre-order list for the Jaecoo J5 EV becomes very long, causing consumers in Indonesia to wait.
Indeed, public interest in the Jaecoo J5 EV is quite high. This can be seen at their dealership in Puri, Kembangan, West Jakarta.
Several people were seen wanting to see the unit in person and test drive the Jaecoo J5 EV compact SUV.
They intended to try out the Jaecoo J5 EV directly, and test the performance and features of the vehicle.
On the other hand, the positive reception for the Jaecoo J5 EV is also known from a consumer in the Bintaro area, South Tangerang.
He even admitted to buying the Jaecoo electric car after canceling his order for a BYD Atto 1. This was after considering various factors.
“First, of course, is the car's availability; the BYD Atto 1 has a long pre-order wait and is not yet available,” Radito told KatadataOTO.
Furthermore, he considers the Jaecoo J5 EV to have good value for money. And the price of the electric car is considered very competitive.
