Jetour Postpones X20e Launch, Still Studying Pricing

KatadataOTO – At the GIIAS 2025 event, the Jetour X20e was officially launched for the first time to consumers as a small electric car for urban needs.

In terms of dimensions, it does not seem much different from previous competitors like the Wuling Air ev and Seres E1.

However, it resembles the BYD Atto 1, which is also small and equipped with four doors.

There are several considerations for Jetour to bring the X20e to the Indonesian market amidst the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) trend.

One of them is that competitors have recently started entering this segment.

“We also notice what competitors are doing. It indicates that the entry-level price segment is a good prospect for the future,” said Irwan Kurnia Nugraha, Product Senior Manager of Jetour Motor Indonesia in Tangerang, Thursday (24/07).

It should be noted that so far in Indonesia, Jetour has only brought gasoline-powered cars and filled the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) class.

The presence of the Jetour X20e is expected to be a new option for consumers looking for a small, environmentally friendly car.

The Jetour X20e is displayed during GIIAS 2025 as a study. The manufacturer is said to be receiving feedback from consumers regarding the appropriate price for the electric car when it is marketed domestically later.

Responding to the presence of a new model in the same segment as the BYD Atto 1, Jetour stated that it will be cautious while continuing to observe market momentum.

“Soon (the launch of the Jetour X20e), we will determine it further later. But it won't be too far from the introduction time,” affirmed Moch. Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of Jetour Motor Indonesia on the same occasion.

Based on information gathered by KatadataOTO, the price of the Jetour X20e is under IDR 250 million.

Jetour needs to consider a suitable selling price to compete, especially after the BYD Atto 1 hit the roads with its cheapest model priced at IDR 195 million on the road in Jakarta.

The public can see the Jetour X20e electric car in person at ICE BSD, Tangerang, during GIIAS 2025.
