KatadataOTO – Jetour Indonesia plans to introduce their first electric car in the country, namely the X50e.

Previously, the Jetour X50e was presented at the IIMS (Indonesia International Motor Show) 2025 automotive exhibition as an introduction to consumers.

However, it is not yet certain when the Jetour X50e EV will be officially sold to domestic consumers. There are still several things being considered by the manufacturer.

“So it does take a long time, how we can set a price (for the Jetour X50e) that suits consumer needs,” said Moch. Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of Jetour Motor Indonesia in West Jakarta recently.

He was still reluctant to disclose further details regarding the launch time or the price range of the X50e electric car.

However, the Jetour X50e will enter a fairly crowded vehicle segment in Indonesia. The model will be a rival to various models such as the Chery E5 and the BYD Sealion 7.

If you look, the price range of these two models is from IDR 300 million to IDR 600 million. There is a high probability that this figure will be one of the benchmarks for setting the price of the Jetour X50e.

“Based on the surveys we have conducted over the past few months, especially during IIMS, but currently there is no information we can share (regarding the Jetour X50e),” said Ranggy.

For your information, the Jetour X50e at IIMS 2025 was presented as a prototype. The production version of this electric car will likely receive a number of changes to both the exterior and interior, according to consumer needs.

The 5-seater compact SUV has a simple appearance. The grille is minimalist, dominated by a color matching the body, and adorned with an emblem that says Jetour below the hood area.

The lighting sector is already LED, then there is a thin DRL (Daytime Running Light) stretching right below the headlight.

Viewed from the side, the Jetour X50e has some similarities with its distant relative, the Chery Tiggo Cross, especially in the design of the C-pillar.

There is no detailed information yet regarding the technical specifications, battery, or electric motor. The final form of the production version of the Jetour X50e EV is still unclear.
