KatadataOTO – PT Kia Sales Indonesia has introduced itself as the new Sole Agent Brand Holder (ATPM) for the South Korean brand. They officially replace the Indomobil Group (PT Kreta Artha Indonesia).

Managed directly by the principal, Kia follows in the footsteps of its sibling, Hyundai, in the country. It is hoped that this move will bring a new dynamic to the domestic automotive market.

It was also stated that Kia Sales Indonesia is demonstrating its commitment to consumers through a more focused, relevant, and future-oriented approach.

Taking place at the Fairmont, Jakarta, Kia Indonesia also brought along a prospective new product. The latest generation Kia Carens was showcased to the public.

This MPV is said to be an initial preview of the design direction and positioning of Kia models for the Indonesian market.

“This is an important moment for Kia in Indonesia. Our commitment is to grow together, with a more focused and sustainable approach,” said Jong Sung Park, CEO of Kia Sales Indonesia in Jakarta (14/01).

Kia itself has actually been in the country since 1999, replacing Timor. They started their business by introducing the Carnival and Carens.

Entering 2010, Kia introduced the latest generations of the Sportage and Rio. The new design of both models looked fresher.

Then in 2019, the brand's management was transferred to PT Kreta Indo Artha. Under the Indomobil Group, Kia began to enter the era of electrification.

The brand from the land of Ginseng brought the Kia EV6 and EV9 to the Indonesian market.

In the new era, Kia Sales Indonesia is still relying on the Carens to meet the needs of the domestic market.

With a long history in Indonesia, the Kia Carens is prepared to become a part of families in the country.

Identical with a spacious cabin, reliable comfort, and ease of use are the vehicle's advantages.

Thus, the Kia Carens can be a true companion for consumers' daily journeys.

The new face of the Kia Carens is said to not only stem from a structural change but also to demonstrate their ability in developing a product.

“Through this phase, Kia Sales Indonesia is committed to continuously presenting products and experiences that are in line with the needs of the community,” Park later said.
