The Electric Vehicle Trend in Indonesia Continues to Grow Since 2020

KatadataOTO – Kreta Indo Artha (Kia) is once again taking part in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. On this occasion, they are bringing an electric car.
The Kia EV4 is making its debut at the GIIAS 2025 event at ICE BSD, Tangerang.
The Electric Vehicle (EV) features a revolutionary design with the E-GMP platform.
The EV4 is designed as a mid-size electric sedan that combines bold aesthetics and high efficiency.
"This car has a reliable range and performance, while also reflecting the bold aesthetics of the Opposites United design philosophy," said Joey Hong, Head of Indonesia Project Kia Asia Pacific at GIIAS 2025 some time ago.
The Kia EV4 comes in two variant options. First, the Standard Range with a 58.3 kWh battery and a range of up to 430 km.
Then there is the Long Range type, which carries an 81.4 kWh battery and a range of up to 633 km based on the WLTP standard.
As for charging, it is supported by 350 kW ultra-fast charging technology that can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes.
Unfortunately, the Kia EV4 electric car was only introduced at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition. It is not yet officially for sale to consumers.
On the other hand, this South Korean manufacturer is present at GIIAS 2025 with the theme "movement awakens".
"Through the 'movement awakens' theme, we want to evoke a new spirit in mobility that is in line with Kia's global spirit," said Theodorus Prawirohardjo, Sales Operation Area Kia.
For your information, during GIIAS 2025, Kia is displaying a complete lineup of its flagship products, a total of seven display units in a 480m² booth.
The details are the Kia Carnival Hybrid, Carens, Sonet, Seltos, EV9 GT-Line, EV6 GT-Line, and the EV4.
Kia also provides various interesting activities for visitors, such as a test drive area to facilitate consumers who want to try their products.
Especially for GIIAS 2025, Kia presents the ‘Awaken Your Luck’ program for visitors who make transactions during the exhibition period.
There are various attractive prizes including shopping vouchers, a variety of the latest gadgets such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3, Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Samsung Galaxy S25, a dashcam, domestic tour packages, and up to millions of rupiah in cashback.
Kia also provides various transaction conveniences during the exhibition, such as instant credit approval, 0 percent interest for three years, low down payments, and credit with a tenor of up to eight years.
