KatadataOTO – Images of the BYD Atto 3 facelift submitted to China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have been leaked to the public, even though the model is only scheduled to be launched in a few months.
From the photos, it's clear that BYD has made several developments to give it a fresher look. However, what stands out is the presence of a camera on the front bumper.
Its presence has led to speculation that the car will be equipped with improved ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology. This is certainly very interesting as it can help drivers drive more safely.
Besides technology, BYD has also made developments in its appearance. One of the main highlights is the bumper design, which is more aggressive than the current one.
Moving to the rear, the company has also made developments to the rear bumper. The rear spoiler is now also fitted with a brake light, which is expected to make it more recognizable during night driving.
In terms of size, the BYD Atto 3 will have a length of 4,455 mm, a width of 1,875 mm, a height of 1,615 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,710 mm. These dimensions are no different from the current model.
According to CarNewsChina, the model is likely to launch in the second quarter of this year.
In Indonesia, the BYD Atto 3 is available in two options: Advanced (Standard Range) and Superior (Extended Range). Both can be chosen according to the customer's needs and preferences.
The Advanced type comes with a 49.92 kWh battery, sufficient for a range of 410 km. The car is equipped with an electric motor capable of producing 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, the Superior type comes with a 60.48 kWh battery, sufficient for a range of 480 km. This power is then channeled to drive an electric motor capable of producing 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque.
The price of the BYD Atto 3 currently ranges from IDR 470 million to IDR 520 million. If this new model also comes to Indonesia, its price will likely increase.
