The Leapmotor C10 electric car is rumored to launch soon this year, followed by a summary of its specifications.
KatadataOTO – The Indonesian automotive market will see many new brands this year. The majority are brands from China, bringing electric cars for domestic consumers.
One of them is Leapmotor. The brand is rumored to be entering Indonesia through the Indomobil Group this year.
Going back to November 2023, one of their models had already been registered. Based on data from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, the product is the Leapmotor C10.
Registered on September 25, 2023, the applicant's name is Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd. The registered model design looks very identical to the Leapmotor C10.
In the global market, the Leapmotor C10 is available with a range extender option. However, if launched in Indonesia, there is a high chance that only the EV (Electric Vehicle) type will be offered.
The Leapmotor C10 will make its Southeast Asian debut in Malaysia in mid-October 2024. There, it is priced at around RM 149,000 or about Rp 547 million if converted to rupiah.
This electric car is equipped with a 69.9 kWh capacity battery, claimed to provide a range of up to 424 km (WLTP) on a single charge. For urban use, the Leapmotor C10 is said to be able to support a journey of up to 574 km.
On paper, its power is said to reach 160 kW or the equivalent of 214.5 hp with a peak torque of 320 Nm, delivered to the rear wheels (RWD/rear-wheel drive). Meanwhile, its maximum speed is 170 km/h.
