KatadataOTO – Chery Global is actively introducing environmentally friendly vehicles for the global market, including Indonesia. Recently, one of the collaborative products between Chery and Huawei, the Luxeed R7, was registered in Indonesia.

Its design is registered on the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) page No. 71/DI/2025 with application number DI A00202405892.

The model, strongly believed to be the Luxeed R7, was filed under the name Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd, located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.

Interestingly, the Luxeed R7 is not only available as a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) but also as an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV).

In terms of design, the Luxeed R7 is categorized as a crossover. Without many ornaments or body kits, the model appears minimalist yet elegant.

At the top of the windshield, a LiDAR sensor component is embedded to assist the performance of the car's safety features. It uses flush door handles, reinforcing the luxurious feel of the Luxeed R7.

Due to its sleek design, the Luxeed R7 is claimed to have a drag coefficient of 0.219 Cd, which is lower than the Tesla Model Y.

This is said to make the car run quieter and use minimal energy, especially when driving on the highway.
