KatadataOTO – To work on the commercial electric vehicle market, PT Mobil Anak Bangsa or MAB claims to have made various preparations. Not only have they partnered with a local company as a distributor, but they have also prepared a new factory in East Java.

This step was taken to facilitate the transportation of units that will be sold in eastern Indonesia.

“We will produce units at our second factory in Pasuruan, East Java, so from a transportation perspective, it won't be too far. The production capacity is also quite large, at around 150 units per month,” said Kelik Irwantono, CEO of PT Mobil Anak Bangsa in Jakarta (24/06).

Not only that, he has also targeted selling at least 300 electric vehicle units in eastern Indonesia by the end of the year. Therefore, they will also build various facilities to ensure customer satisfaction.

It was previously reported that MAB has officially entered the electric vehicle market in Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. They will partner with PT Mata Cahaya Timur to become the distributor in these three regions.

In addition to building a 3S (Sales, Service, and Sparepart) concept dealership. They are also responsible for vehicle sales activities, providing after-sales services, and official spare parts.

The appointment of PT Mata Cahaya Timur as MAB's distributor in Indonesia is claimed not to be a random choice. They claim to have ensured that the company truly knows its potential customers.
