Mazda EZ-60 Specifications, Potential Rival to bZ4X in Indonesia

KatadataOTO – The Mazda EZ-60 is a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) launched in China as a result of a collaboration with Chinese manufacturer, Changan.

The model will be offered in an electric car option and a variant with Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) technology.

Launched in China on September 25, the Mazda EZ-60 is offered from 119,900 yuan to 160,900 yuan, or about Rp 279 million-Rp 374.4 million in rupiah.

Interestingly, this product from Mazda and Changan will also be exported under the name Mazda CX-6e.

However, it is not yet known for sure which countries are the destination. But there is a chance the Mazda EZ-60 will be offered in Indonesia.

When confirmed recently, PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) did not deny that the Mazda EZ-60 could be brought into the country.

The Mazda EZ-60 could replace the MX-30 electric car, whose production has been discontinued in Japan. In Indonesia, its sales were very limited and its price was high at around Rp 800 million.

If it enters Indonesia, the Mazda EZ-60 will likely be presented only in the Electric Vehicle (EV) variant and will fill the Toyota bZ4X segment.

For comparison, the price of the Toyota bZ4X Completely Built Up (CBU) from Japan is Rp 1 billion. This price tag could still decrease once local assembly begins.

At a glance, its design still adopts the character of the MX-30. However, it is much more futuristic thanks to the slim LED bar and a sleek front look without many additional ornaments.

The L x W x H dimensions of the Mazda EZ-60 are 4,850 mm x 1,935 mm x 1,620 mm. Its wheelbase is 2,902 mm, offering a spacious cabin for a five-passenger configuration.

Regarding technical specifications, its electric motor has a power of 190 kW or equivalent to 255 hp. Meanwhile, its battery is a 77.94 kWh lithium-ion supplied by CALB.

Based on the CLTC testing method, the Mazda EZ-60 can travel 600 kilometers on a single charge.
