KatadataOTO – Mitsubishi is targeting to capture 10 percent of car sales in Indonesia. That number is even higher than the company's achievement in 2024.
To achieve this, the company has implemented various strategies, including increasing the number of its sales networks. Thus, it is hoped that the public will find it easier to get a unit.
“We currently have 172 outlets in Indonesia and plan to build nine to 10 new dealers throughout 2025,” said Yoshio Igarashi, Sales and Marketing Director of PT MMKSI (16/05)
Thus, it is expected that by the end of the year, they will have 182 outlets throughout Indonesia.
The large number of networks is believed to make it easier for the public to purchase vehicles. Moreover, they will launch a new model that is claimed to be able to boost car sales in the country.
Not only that, the presence of a new network also has many purposes. One of them is to make it easier for customers to get periodic maintenance with the quality assurance of genuine spare parts.
Throughout 2024, the manufacturer with the three-diamond logo claimed to have achieved good results. Although vehicle sales decreased, the demand for spare parts and the number of customers performing maintenance at official workshops actually increased.
“In 2024, we recorded positive results on the aftersales side. This is evident from the increase in spare parts sales, the number of vehicles coming in, and the growth of the Net Promoter Score,” said Guntur Harling, General Manager of Product Strategy at PT MMKSI
In his presentation, it was stated that the number of spare parts sold in the 2024 fiscal year increased by 2 percent compared to 2023.
Not only that, the number of vehicles returning for maintenance in 2024 also grew by up to 2.5 percent compared to the same period.
“The Net Promoter Score in the 2024 fiscal year also grew by 22.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023,” he added.
This high figure indicates customer trust in Mitsubishi's maintenance and services over the years.
