KatadataOTO – BYD has again registered several of its latest vehicle designs with the DGIP (Directorate General of Intellectual Property). After the Seal facelift, there is the Denza N9 SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle).

Currently, Denza only markets one model for consumers, the electric-powered D9.

This newest model from Denza, like the D9, will be available in both pure EV (Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) variants.

It will also be the first 6-seater SUV from Denza if it launches in Indonesia later.

Based on KatadataOTO's search, Saturday (24/05), the car design, strongly believed to be the N9, was registered in the Official Gazette of Industrial Designs No. 28/DI/2025, announced on May 15, 2025.

The car's exterior appearance is clearly visible in the report with application number A00202405903, registered by BYD Company Limited, located in Shenzhen, China.

On the Denza Global page, only the specifications for the PHEV version of the Denza N9 SUV are available. There are two types available, namely Prestige and Flagship.

The Prestige variant is priced at 389,800 yuan (approx. IDR 879 million) while the Flagship type is 449,800 yuan, equivalent to IDR 1.01 billion.

The Denza N9 SUV has quite large dimensions, exceeding five meters with a length of 5,258 mm, a width of 2,030 mm, a height of 1,830 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,125 mm.

The plug-in hybrid technology in the Denza N9 is supported by a 2,000 cc turbocharged engine. The battery used is a Super Hybrid Power Blade Battery with a capacity of 46.9 kWh.

Thanks to the use of front and rear electric motors, the Denza N9 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

Without the assistance of the gasoline engine, the N9 is claimed to be able to travel up to 202 km on a full or 100 percent battery charge.

For comparison in Indonesia, the claimed EV mode range for PHEVs like the Mazda CX-80 is 60 km, or the Tiggo 8 CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) at 90 km.

Meanwhile, the comprehensive range, or the combination of the battery and conventional engine, allows the N9 to travel up to 1,302 km.

Denza has not yet revealed in detail which vehicle models will be presented to consumers. However, in the near future, it seems the Z9 GT will arrive first.

Sales representatives have even started taking pre-orders. If consumers are interested, they just need to prepare a booking fee of IDR 50 million.
