KatadataOTO – The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 is just days away from opening. A number of manufacturers will be selling new cars at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

As will be done by Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID). They are rumored to be preparing the launch of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz.

The new product was even seen passing on the streets around Jakarta. It was then photographed by automotive enthusiasts in the country.

A number of salespeople have already started offering the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz to people who want to order it.

“The launch (of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz) is at GIIAS 2025, for now you can pre-book it first,” said a Hyundai salesperson when contacted by KatadataOTO some time ago.

According to another salesperson, the price of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz will be slightly more expensive than the older variant.

“(The price of the Hyundai Stargazer Cartenz) starts from the IDR 270 million range and the most expensive is in the IDR 350 million range,” he said.

On the other hand, Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) does not want to be left behind in presenting a new car at the GIIAS 2025 exhibition.

This Japanese manufacturer claims to be preparing a new product for visitors at ICE BSD.

"New real hybrid is coming, excellent efficiency, ultra low emission, responsive acceleration, advanced safety It's real, coming soon," Daihatsu wrote in a video they distributed.

Not much information could be obtained from the video. Only the launch date or time of July 24, 2025, was listed.

Upon further investigation, it is highly likely that their new product at GIIAS 2025 will be the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid.

Considering the car is already marketed in Japan. It was also brought to Indonesia on several occasions, such as at last year's GIIAS.

"That (the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid) is going to launch at GIIAS 2025," a Daihatsu salesperson told KatadataOTO last week.

On the other hand, it's not just hybrid cars from Japanese manufacturers that will liven up GIIAS 2025. There will also be Electric Vehicles (EVs) from Chinese manufacturers.

Take for example the presence of the BYD Seal under the name BYD Atto 1. The electric car is rumored to be officially sold at GIIAS 2025.
