Hyundai will continue to aggressively introduce new products to boost sales in Indonesia throughout 2025.
KatadataOTO – The Indonesian automotive market is still trying to slowly recover this year. The presence of supporting policies such as the hybrid car incentive released this month is expected to be a driver for car sales.
In addition, PT HMID (Hyundai Motors Indonesia), as one of the automotive brands in Indonesia, said that another strategy considered successful in stimulating the market is the launch of new variants or products.
“If there are no new products now, the market will not move. You can see how many new products have appeared, mostly in the electric car segment,” said Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of PT HMID in Lampung recently.
According to him, new products throughout 2024 have indeed been dominated by electric vehicles or BEVs (Battery Electric Vehicles). Consumer interest in electric cars has also started to increase.
For example, the presence of BYD (Build Your Dreams) in 2024 contributed to wholesale figures of around 2,000 electric car units almost every month from June to December.
Meanwhile, Hyundai is aggressively introducing new products and, for the first time, enlivening the hybrid car market through the latest generations of the Santa Fe and Tucson.
“We promise a minimum of seven new models (Hyundai). Then, as mentioned earlier, we will certainly also push the ecosystem and so on,” he said.
Most recently, Hyundai has again released a new model in the SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) segment, the Creta Facelift. The product is claimed to have received a positive response from consumers.
Even its highest type, the N Line, available in a Turbo option, dominates orders for the new Hyundai Creta in Indonesia.
“The N Line that we just introduced has received extraordinary attention in Indonesia. We continue to strive to meet the demand conveyed by consumers, in cooperation with PT HMMI (Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia),” he affirmed.
For your information, the New Creta is offered in three variants: Prime, N Line, and N Line Turbo. All three are equipped with Bluelink connectivity.
Meanwhile, in the near future, specifically at IIMS 2025 (Indonesia International Motor Show), PT HMID is rumored to be launching the Venue, which has smaller dimensions than the Creta.
The price range is also more affordable, from Rp 200 million to Rp 300 million. The product will become a new rival to the Honda WR-V and Toyota Raize.
