November 2025 Truck Sales Resumed Growth

KatadataOTO – Truck sales in November 2025 successfully recorded growth compared to the previous month. This is certainly good news considering the vehicle market in Indonesia is still under pressure.

Based on Gaikindo data, retail sales of trucks throughout November 2025 were 5,625 units. This achievement is an increase compared to the previous month's achievement of only 5,321 units.

Total truck sales from January to November 2025 reached 53,009 units. That number is equivalent to 7.2 percent of the total vehicle sales throughout Indonesia.

Looking in more detail, the high market was supported by trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 5 to 10 tons. In this segment, sales reached 3,932 units, up from the previous month's 3,550 units.

Next are trucks with a GVW of 10-24 tons, with sales of 437 units. This number is a correction from the previous 454 units.

Meanwhile, sales of trucks with a GVW of more than 24 tons also experienced pressure in November 2025. Only 1,256 units were recorded as delivered to customers, down from October's 1,317 units.

Although retail truck sales experienced growth, unit shipments from factories to dealers actually decreased. This situation is evident from Gaikindo data, which shows a fairly large correction.

The data shows that truck wholesales in November 2025 were only 5,222 units. The figure is smaller than the previous month's, which reached 5,678 units.

However, the achievement in November was still much better than in September 2025. In that month, only 4,869 units were shipped.

The largest shipments were achieved by trucks with a GVW of 5 to 10 tons. In this segment, wholesales reached 3,723 units, down from the previous month's 3,932 units.

Meanwhile, 424 units of trucks with a GVW of 10-24 tons were successfully shipped. The number is a correction from October 2025, which at that time reached 471 units.

Then for truck sales over 24 tons, the total unit shipment was 1,256 units. This achievement is also lower than the previous month's 1,317 units.

Despite weakening, November 2025 was still the second-highest sales month in the last 11 months. Growth is expected to occur next year, where demand before Eid is usually quite high.
