KatadataOTO – The electric car from Polytron, which is touted to be a national car, is starting to receive a positive response from Indonesian consumers.

For your information, Polytron currently offers only one product in Indonesia, the G3. The model has already achieved a Local Component Level (TKDN) of 40 percent.

Although it is a new brand, it seems consumers are starting to show interest in the Polytron G3.

Processed from Gaikindo data, in October 2025, retail sales figures or distribution from dealers to consumers reached 103 units, an increase of 255 percent from the previous month.

In comparison, the figures were six units in July, 12 units in August, and 29 units throughout September 2025.

In total, this year, 150 units of the Polytron G3 have been delivered to consumers. This indicates a positive public interest in the electric car.

Polytron has not yet revealed its future plans for other models in the country, still focusing on the G3 and G3+, which are sold starting from Rp 200 million.

For your information, the Polytron electric car G3 can be obtained through a battery rental scheme or buy-to-own, which includes the battery.

The price is Rp 299 million if the consumer chooses to acquire the Polytron G3 with the battery rental option.

Meanwhile, for those interested in buying the unit with the battery, the price is around Rp 419 million.

As for the higher G3+ model, it is sold for Rp 339 million (rental) and Rp 459 million (including battery). 

Various excellent features are embedded in both the Polytron G3 and G3+. For example, connectivity to the Polytron EV application.

This allows the car to be easily controlled via a smart device.

Speaking of the powertrain, the Polytron G3 and G3+ are equipped with a 51.9 kWh capacity battery. This provides a range of 402 kilometers on a single charge.

The battery can be charged in a short time thanks to fast charging technology. Thus, charging from 20 percent to 70 percent capacity can be achieved in under 35 minutes.

It can then produce 150 kW of power, equivalent to 201 hp, and a peak torque of 320 Nm. The power is delivered to the front wheels using a Front Wheel Drive (FWD) system.
