KatadataOTO – Polytron has inaugurated their first dealership located on Jendral Sudirman street. This facility comes with a unique concept compared to other vehicle networks in Indonesia.
This is because customers can not only see cars but almost all of Polytron's products in Indonesia. Starting from motorcycles, air conditioners to televisions.
“We want to show that an entire household can use Polytron. So because we have the space, everything is displayed here,” said Tekno Wibowo, Commercial Director of Polytron (03/06)
In addition to displaying Polytron products, they are also preparing an official workshop located behind the building.
“The facility is indeed 3S (sales, service, and spare parts), but currently the workshop is still under construction. We are targeting completion by the end of June,” he said.
He also added that they have provided training for technicians so that the service can be more optimal.
“We have been preparing the technicians for a long time because it takes time. Some were even trained directly in China to provide optimal service,” he later added.
In addition, they have also provided charging facilities so customers can charge their vehicles.
It was previously reported that Polytron has launched an electric car named G3. The model is assembled locally utilizing facilities from Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) and has a Local Content Level (TKDN) of 40 percent.
Two variants are available for customers to choose from, namely G3 and G3+. Both are offered with a battery rental option.
Polytron G3 with the battery rental system is priced at IDR 299 million, while the G3+ version is IDR 339 million.
As for the outright purchase system, the Polytron G3 is sold for IDR 419 million and the G3+ type is released for IDR 459 million.
In terms of dimensions, the Polytron G3 and G3+ have a length of 4,720 mm, a width of 1,908 mm, a height of 1,696 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm.
Both the Polytron G3 and G3+ are equipped with a 51.916 kWh LFP battery. This power is used to drive an electric motor capable of producing 150 kW or about 201 hp and a peak torque of 320 Nm.
Although it has quite high performance, its range is still quite far. Polytron claims the car can be used for up to 402 km on a full charge.
