KatadataOTO – Electric car Polytron, namely the G3 and G3+, are starting to show a positive trend. In October 2025, its retail sales, or distribution from dealers to consumers, reached 100 units,

This is one of the indicators of public interest in locally branded and domestically assembled electric cars.

Amid the flood of electric car products from China, Polytron is still confident that their vehicle lineup has its own appeal for consumers.

Polytron revealed they have a target to produce at least 1,000 units of electric cars throughout 2025.

“But perhaps the deliveries by the end of the year will be around 500 to 600 units,” said Tekno Wibowo, Commercial Director of Polytron, when met in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/11).

However, the manufacturer faces obstacles in meeting the increasing consumer demand.

According to Tekno, adjustments need to be made in the local assembly of Polytron electric cars at its factory.

“The people doing the assembly are still new, they need a learning process. Then sometimes some components are also lacking, so we have to wait, that's all,” said Tekno.

Therefore, this year Polytron will still focus on marketing one electric car model, the G3. He was reluctant to talk further about new products in the future.

For your information, the Polytron G3 electric car is sold with a battery rental scheme or purchased including the battery.

If you are interested in buying without the battery, the price for the Polytron G3 and G3+ is Rp 299 million to Rp 339 million, while it is  Rp 419 million to Rp 459 million if the battery is included.

A fast charging option is available that allows the Polytron electric car's battery to be charged in a short time, from 20 percent to 70 percent in less than 30 minutes.

The electric motor on the Polytron G3 is claimed to produce 150 kW of power or the equivalent of 201 hp with a peak torque of 320 Nm, delivered to the front wheels.
