KatadataOTO – The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 is just a few days away. A number of manufacturers are reportedly preparing new cars.

No exception for Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS). They are said to have a chance to bring the electric car Suzuki e Vitara.

“At the end of July, there's GIIAS 2025, and we will prepare a surprise there,” said Donny Saputra, Deputy Managing Director of SIS in Senayan, Jakarta some time ago.

Indeed, Donny did not specify what four-wheeled vehicle they would exhibit at GIIAS 2025.

However, it is highly likely that the Suzuki e Vitara will be the final product of the eVX concept car they previously displayed.

“Of course, it's not just the Fronx (that will be brought), but there will be a new breakthrough. So friends, please wait,” continued Donny.

Furthermore, Donny assured that the new Suzuki car displayed at GIIAS 2025 will surprise many parties.

“Later on the first day of GIIAS 2025, colleagues will surely be (surprised). Wow, it turns out Suzuki has brought this model,” he added.

Even so, Donny was still reluctant to leak further information about their new product at GIIAS 2025.

However, Donny did open up the possibility that SIS would bring the Suzuki e Vitara to the country to be marketed to consumers.

“Wait for GIIAS 2025, we will later release (information about the Suzuki electric car) partially, slowly, just like we released information related to the Fronx,” Donny affirmed.

For your information, the Suzuki e Vitara has debuted in India, specifically at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo on January 17, 2025.

This is the first strategic Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) from Suzuki, which is claimed to have been adapted to the needs of their consumers.

Judging from the design, its posture is still similar to the eVX Concept. However, some adjustments are visible.

On the rear doors, the door handle is placed on the side of the door, like the Honda HR-V.

Thus, the Electric Vehicle (EV) Suzuki e Vitara is not only sporty but also elegant and minimalist.

For reference, the Suzuki e Vitara has dimensions of 4,275 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,700.

Regarding the power source, the battery used is a 49 kWh or 61 kWh LFP with a claimed range of 500 km on a single charge.
