KatadataOTO – Seres is preparing to launch a new product, the E3. The electric car will be marketed at the PEVS (Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show) 2025 exhibition.

Its presence is claimed to challenge a number of EVs (Electric Vehicles) that have already hit the roads in the country.

“It will be a competitor to the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5,” said Cing Hok Rifin, Director Sales Center of PT Sokonindo Automobile in Jakarta, Monday (24/03).

According to him, the Seres E5 electric car targets the medium SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) segment like the two products above. Because it offers a very similar size.

“We are creating our own affordable electric SUV segment with a price range of Rp 300 million to Rp 400 million,” he continued.

As a reminder, the price of the Chery Omoda E5 is from Rp 425 million to Rp 505 million. Then, the BYD Atto 3 is sold from Rp 470 million to Rp 520 million.
