Specifications of VinFast VF 3, New Rival to Wuling Air ev

KatadataOTO – The affordable electric car market will be enlivened by a newcomer this year. Not from a Chinese manufacturer, but a Vietnamese one, namely VinFast VF 3.

In terms of size and specifications, the VinFast VF 3 will be a new rival to the Wuling Air ev. According to several salespeople, the variant without a battery is sold for around Rp 160 million.

It should be noted that VinFast uses a battery rental scheme for its customers. Therefore, there is no need to worry about the warranty, as the battery's condition is covered by the company.

The unit without a battery is indeed sold at a cheaper price, but the owner needs to prepare funds for the monthly battery subscription fee.

The VinFast VF 3 is a 4-seater electric car with three doors. Its design is more dynamic as it follows the shape of an off-road SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) like the Suzuki Jimny.

This Vietnamese manufacturer offers the VinFast VF 3 in just one variant, using an 18.6 kWh capacity battery with a claimed range of 215 km (NEDC testing method).

Meanwhile, its potential rival in Indonesia, the Wuling Air ev, has several variants offering a range of 200 km to 300 km. Its lowest variant is the Lite Standard Range, priced at Rp 179.1 million including the battery.
