Soon to be sold in various countries, here we summarize the specifications of the Suzuki e Vitara electric car.
KatadataOTO – Suzuki has officially introduced its first electric-powered SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) in the Indian market, the e Vitara. It should be noted that this EV (Electric Vehicle) was previously presented as the eVX Concept prototype and made an appearance in Indonesia at GIIAS 2024.
The e Vitara debuted at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, held starting January 17, 2025, becoming the production version of the eVX Concept.
“The e Vitara is Suzuki's first strategic BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). We have studied consumer needs for BEVs in detail,” said Toshihito Suzuki, President of Suzuki Motor, in his official statement quoted on Saturday (18/1).
Its design still looks identical to the eVX Concept, but with a few adjustments. For example, the door handles are no longer the hidden flush model, but conventional ones.
Then, the rear door handles are placed at the top of the door, similar to the Honda HR-V, giving it a sleek and minimalist look.
The front fascia's identity is also not much different, still retaining the same tri-LED DRL (Daytime Running Light) shape as the eVX Concept, only appearing slightly larger.
In terms of dimensions, the Suzuki e Vitara measures L x W x H at 4,275 mm x 1,800 mm x 1,635 mm with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. For a rough comparison, this is not much different from the Chery Omoda E5, which is 4,424 mm x 1,830 mm x 1,588 mm with a wheelbase of 2,630 mm.
However, its ground clearance is lower than the Omoda E5 (190 mm), at 180 mm. Meanwhile, its weight is 1,900 kg.
Moving to the interior, the e Vitara uses a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel that adds a luxurious touch. There is a dual-tone dashboard color option, and Suzuki has incorporated a floating center console at the front.
