KatadataOTO – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has once again shown its commitment to the development of the national automotive industry by presenting the Suzuki eWX to the country. The model can be seen by the public at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025.
This is the first time the Suzuki eWX has been present in Southeast Asia. Its arrival also affirms its role as an integral part of Suzuki's multi-pathway strategy in achieving carbon neutrality.
“The eWX is a manifestation of Suzuki's vision to create a sustainable, functional, and energy-efficient electric vehicle that provides a pleasant driving experience. Our purpose in showcasing the eWX is so that the public can better understand how Suzuki is contributing to creating greener mobility solutions that are accessible to many people,” said Minoru Amano, President Director of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales.
In terms of design, the Suzuki eWX comes with a 'Simple, Lighthearted and Fresh' design philosophy. The sharp and aerodynamic exterior lines combined with horizontal LED lighting create a futuristic look that remains in harmony with urban aesthetics.
Inside the cabin, the Suzuki eWX is ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort. The goal is to ensure an intuitive and enjoyable driving experience in various conditions.
The Suzuki eWX has a length of 3,395 mm, a width of 1,475 mm, and a height of 1,620 mm, making it agile and comfortable in urban areas. In terms of performance, the car can travel up to 230 km on a single charge.
“We are confident that the Indonesian public is increasingly ready to adopt environmentally friendly and sustainable mobility. The presence of the eWX is Suzuki's exploration of more relevant and affordable electric vehicle solutions that can be accessed by more consumers in the future,” added Amano.
It should be noted that Suzuki's multi-pathway strategy is a way to achieve carbon neutrality by presenting a variety of environmentally friendly technologies. Ranging from battery electric vehicles (BEV) and hybrids to the development of alternative fuels.
Suzuki also understands that the transition to low-emission mobility cannot be achieved through a single approach. Therefore, Suzuki presents various solutions tailored to the market needs and infrastructure of each country so that customers can enjoy vehicles that are efficient, affordable, and relevant to local conditions.
Not only that, Suzuki Indonesia believes in the importance of the development and roadmap for environmentally friendly vehicles. The presence of three Suzuki hybrid models as part of the Low Carbon Emission Vehicle program is also a mainstay in the Indonesian automotive market.
Suzuki also continues to develop BEVs as another alternative included in its global strategy. Thus, vehicle development will continue to proceed in accordance with the times.
