KatadataOTO – The number of orders for the Suzuki Fronx has surpassed 4,000 since its launch at the end of May 2025. The newest model is said to have received a positive response from consumers.

According to Suzuki, the surge in orders means customers have to wait. However, they ensure the waiting period for the Suzuki Fronx is not too long.

“To this day, we are still continuously receiving pre-orders, so we cannot specify a timeframe because as the pre-orders increase, the waiting time also increases,” said Harold Donnel, 4W Marketing Manager of PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS), on the sidelines of GIIAS 2025 recently.

He emphasized that his team is continuously doing their best to ensure the waiting period for the Suzuki Fronx is not excessively long.

Harold also revealed that so far, there have been no significant complaints from consumers regarding the waiting period.

“So far, there have been no complaints about the waiting period being too long, and hopefully, there won't be. Because we are really rushing it,” said Harold.

It should be noted that the Suzuki Fronx has a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) status, meaning it is locally assembled.

Assembled at the PT SIS facility, the number of orders has actually exceeded the production target for the model, which is 2,000 units per month.

For that reason, Harold emphasized that he has coordinated with related parties to accelerate production in order to handle the surge in orders.

“From the beginning, we have highly prioritized fulfilling consumer pre-orders. But once again, we apologize that we cannot specify the exact time,” said Harold.

For your information, the Suzuki Fronx was launched on May 28, 2025. The model is touted as a replacement for the Baleno hatchback because its dimensions are not significantly different.

The difference is, the Fronx is available in a hybrid variant, adding a new option to Suzuki's electrification lineup in the country.

The hybrid technology in the Suzuki is called the Smart Hybrid Vehicle System (SHVS), which falls into the mild hybrid category.

This is said to be the most suitable bridge to introduce consumers to higher levels of electrification later on, such as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV).

In line with the government's electrification commitment, Suzuki is also preparing for the arrival of the eVitara electric car for domestic consumers next year.

The unit can be seen directly at the Suzuki booth during the GIIAS 2025 event, which runs until August 3.
