The Appearance of the Geely EX3 Electric Car Registered in Indonesia

KatadataOTO – The automotive market seems set to welcome various new models from Chinese manufacturers. One of them is Geely EX3.

The Geely EX3 name is known to have been registered on the official website of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (PDKI), with registration number IDM001361744.

Based on KatadataOTO's search on Tuesday (26/08), the Geely EX3 was registered by Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, located in Zhejiang, China.

There is no clear news yet about the arrival of this electric car, but in its home country, the Geely EX3 fills the compact Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment. At a glance, its dimensions are not much different from the Hyundai Kona EV.

It should be noted that in its home country, the model is sold as the Geely Geometry E, an updated version of the EX3.

Compared to the first version that debuted in 2021, the Geely EX3's appearance is designed to be more modern and minimalist, typical of electric cars.

Previously, the EX3 had large headlights and a grille. Both of these features have been removed in the latest version.

There are two range options available for the Geely EX3: 301 kilometers and 401 kilometers on a single full charge.

In terms of size, the Geely EX3 has dimensions of 4,006 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,550 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,485 mm.

For a rough comparison, the dimensions of the Hyundai Kona Electric are 4,355 mm x 1,825 mm x 1,575 mm, while its wheelbase is 2,660 mm.

The design is quite simple. At the front, there is a small Geely emblem placed just below the LED bar that runs across the hood area.

Moving to the side, the Geely EX3 uses black wheels, giving the car a sporty impression. The size is 205/60 R16.

At the rear of the car, LED lights have been installed to support the lighting sector.

Regarding the powertrain, the top-tier Geely EX3 is equipped with a 39.3 kWh LFP battery paired with an electric motor, delivering 60 kW (80.4 hp) of power and a peak torque of 130 Nm to the front wheels.

However, it should be noted that a trademark registration is not a guarantee that a model will be launched in the country.

Sometimes this is done for other purposes, such as research or introducing the vehicle at events like automotive exhibitions.
