KatadataOTO – The electric car Denza Z9 GT continues to attract attention. Especially after the product was equipped with the e3 platform.
It is claimed to offer various advantages for consumers in Indonesia. Such as intelligent driving and D-Sus.
“If a tire bursts, the driver will usually swerve. Now we see that with a collection of components and technology, this Denza Z9 GT is safe,” said Narendro Bawono Cahyonolaksono, Product Planning Assistant Manager of BYD Motor Indonesia at IIMS 2025, Wednesday (19/20).
He explained that during testing, this EV (Electric Vehicle) was driven at a speed of 140 km/h.
Then the front right tire was intentionally burst, until the air pressure inside was completely gone.
“Fortunately, with D-Sus intelligent driving, it (the Denza Z9 GT) can adjust to the conditions and figure out what needs to be done,” he continued.
Narendro gave an example that the D-Sus can raise higher. This is so the car does not nose-dive too much.
“Until it reaches a safe place. So this is for a worry-free experience for consumers,” added Narendro.
Equipped with these various features, Denza Z9 GT electric car owners can feel both safe and comfortable during their journey.
He explained that the product is also equipped with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). This allows the system to analyze the situation and find a safe path.
It also directs the electric vehicle to a safe stopping location after a tire burst.
This helps reduce the risk of traffic accidents caused by a loss of control during the journey.
Moreover, the Denza Z9 GT is equipped with VMC (Vehicle Motion Control), which functions to control the electric motor in real time.
It then adjusts the power distribution to the wheels and regulates the steering angle to remain optimal, allowing the vehicle to maintain traction.
It then corrects the steering direction with precision, preventing oversteer or understeer.
For your information, this Denza electric car is not yet sold to consumers in the country, as BYD is still conducting various studies.
However, they are not ruling out the possibility of selling the Denza Z9 GT in the future.
“Of course, it's not impossible if there is demand. After a comprehensive market study is conducted,” said Luther T. Panjaitan, Head of Public & Government Relations at BYD Motor Indonesia on a different occasion.
