KatadataOTO – Toyota has finally shown its commitment to developing electric vehicles in Indonesia. This was demonstrated by the launch of the locally produced bZ4X at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025 event.

The presence of this car is not actually too surprising. This is because the manufacturer had already introduced it at GIIAS 2025 some time ago.

“The Toyota bZ4X is an ideal choice for customers who want to experience electric driving as a complement,” said Henry Tanoto, Vice President of Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) earlier today.

He also revealed that compared to the previous model, the bZ4X comes with various improvements. Everything has been adjusted to suit the market in the country.

In terms of appearance, the Toyota bZ4X comes with various interesting changes. Although the Japanese manufacturer has retained the Hammerhead Design, they have still made it more stylish.

Its appearance is more dashing thanks to the use of new, sharper headlights and a newly designed bumper. Moving to the side, the car is even more attractive thanks to the use of 20-inch alloy wheels.

Entering the cabin, the car feels luxurious with the presence of a Dashboard with Ambient Light. The sense of spaciousness is enhanced because the Toyota bZ4X has been equipped with a Panoramic Roof.

To accompany your journey, the Toyota bZ4X is equipped with a 14-inch head unit. Then on the center console, there are two wireless chargers, making charging easier.

In terms of performance, the Toyota bZ4X is equipped with an electric motor producing 165 kW or the equivalent of 221.2 hp. This figure is higher than the previous model's 204 hp.

However, the driving range is now longer because the battery capacity is larger at 73.11 kWh. With this, the car can travel up to 525 km on a full charge.

For comparison, the previous model was only equipped with a 71.4 kWh battery. Meanwhile, its driving range was 500 km.

To protect the driver and passengers, the bZ4X is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense. It includes several safety features such as Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and Blind Spot Monitoring.

The Toyota bZ4X is offered with various conveniences, including an eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty. Customers are also entitled to a free battery check every 6 months for 3 to 5 years.

Meanwhile, the price is now more affordable, as the car can be purchased for Rp 799 million.
