UD Trucks Quester 350 ESCOT 8L Euro 5 Launches at GIIAS 2025

KatadataOTO – Taking advantage of the GIIAS 2025 event, UD Trucks has launched its newest product for the Indonesian market. The Quester 350 ESCOT 8L Euro 5 (Tractor Head) is now being offered to Indonesian businesses.

The arrival of this new UD Trucks product is said to mark 50 years of its existence and contribution in the country.

Carrying an 8-liter engine, this newest Quester 350 is equipped with the ESCOT (Efficient Shift Control Transmission) system.

ESCOT itself is believed to be a smart automatic transmission that prioritizes efficiency. The technology was first introduced in early 2024.

“The Quester ESCOT 8L is a tangible form of our commitment to innovate according to the needs of the Indonesian market,” said Johan Kelinsteuber, President Director of UD Trucks Indonesia at ICE BSD (23/07).

The new head of UD Trucks Indonesia stated his determination to continue providing smart, tough, and environmentally friendly commercial vehicle solutions.

This will support the productivity of customers in running their businesses.

It was further stated that Indonesia is a country with a logistics sector growth of 6 – 8 percent per year.

Therefore, it requires adaptive, efficient, and reliable commercial transportation solutions.

Within the country, more than 70 percent still relies on land routes.

As a result, trucks remain a vital backbone of the national supply chain.

By introducing the latest model, UD Trucks also strengthens the long-term synergy between UD Trucks, Astra UD Trucks, and United Tractors (UT).

For five decades as part of the Astra Group, UD Trucks has continued to build Indonesia's transportation system.

It is said that they now have more than 40 official dealer networks throughout Indonesia.

Their team of technicians is also claimed to be certified.
